Please join us in congratulating Wendy Turell as she receives an Alliance Leadership Award in recognition of her service and direction as Chair of the Alliance Research Committee. The Opening Night Awards Dinner will take place January 20th from 5:30 – 7:30pm, kicking off the annual conference with a celebration of the education industry and some of the major achievements and contributions of the colleagues in attendance.

In her 2-year term as Chair of the Alliance Research Committee, Dr. Turell launched and led this newly formed committee that was charged with putting forth CEHP (continuing education in the health professions)-focused research projects that help us, through greater insight, highlight and develop the value of continuing healthcare education professionals. In its inaugural term, the Research Committee put forth two research projects. The first was an environmental scan that focused on identification of trends and priorities of Alliance members. Results were published in two parts in the Almanac:

Informed by QI results from Part 1’s environmental scan, the second project was a focus group series that sought to unearth member experiences regarding barriers to and facilitators of Quality Improvement Education (publication pending).

Wendy Turell“I’m honored to have spent the last two years chairing the team Alliance Research Committee, working alongside my esteemed colleagues to learn more about CEHP practices and needs, with a greater goal of demonstrating the continuing healthcare education professionals’ value to healthcare stakeholders. I look forward to my continued service to the Alliance and the Research Committee as a committee member.”
