AAFP alumna Maria Arnone joins the leading provider of live-online medical education for clinicians and patients

PlatformQ Health is proud to welcome Maria Arnone, MS, as the new Director of Digital Education. Arnone joins PlatformQ Health from the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), where she focused on cultivating strategic partnerships and support for Academy programs. With 20 years of experience in medical education, communications, business development and marketing, she is a strong connector who can bring different parts of a project into focus.

Beyond her work for AAFP, Arnone also brings a rich background in digital marketing and communications, which makes her a natural fit for PlatformQ Health. Prior to her time at AAFP, Arnone was Vice President Client Relations for DC-based digital agency, Social Driver, where she focused on healthcare advocacy campaigns. She has also held positions at Ascend Integrated Media, where she developed non-dues revenue-generating projects for her portfolio of association clients, as well as Penton Media.

“We are thrilled to have Maria join our team,” shared PlatformQ Health CEO Robert Rosenbloom. “Her strong experience in the healthcare industry and education space, paired with her media and digital marketing background, give her clear insights and the right networks to help us deliver more engaging programs and keep collaborating to raise the bar in the continuing education space.”

Arnone will leverage her experience working with healthcare associations to help build on the strong partnership relationships PlatformQ Health maintains across its network of therapeutically-aligned learning channels. “We have developed solid relationships over the years with leading clinician organizations like Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC), LUGPA and Joslin Diabetes Center, as well as patient advocacy groups like The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), as we help to deliver interactive video-first education to their members. This year alone, we have hosted and marketed more than a dozen programs on their behalf,” said Rosenbloom. “Maria’s experience and relationships with these organizations will help us provide education that continues to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.”

“I’m thrilled to be part of PlatformQ Health, operating at the intersection of medical education and technology,” Maria shared. “Our unique partnership approach, paired with the video-first interactive platform and best-in-class outcomes enables clinicians, patients, association partners, and supporters to benefit from our educational programs.”

In addition to clinician education and growth of association relationships, Maria will work closely with the patient education team at PlatformQ Health to help develop patient-centered programs in spaces including oncology, neurology, cardiometabolic and rare disease space, to name a few.
