Organizations Collaborate to Deliver Cutting-Edge Digital Programming for Urologists and Related Specialists

BOSTON AND CHICAGO, APRIL 19, 2023 – LUGPA and PlatformQ Health have extended their partnership to deliver cutting-edge digital education to the urology community.

Since 2017, LUGPA and PlatformQ Health have developed accredited and non-accredited digital, video-based educational programming focused on pressing clinical issues in urology and urologic oncology. The sessions feature live lectures, panel discussions with top faculty, case studies and patient vignettes. For example, the popular on-accredited monthly LUGPA Crossfire Series is an avenue for urologists to gain the latest practice knowledge, addressing topics such as immunotherapy for bladder cancer, developing an effective advanced bladder cancer clinic and navigating financial aspects of practice management.

For the past six years, these ongoing online accredited and non-accredited programs have reached and educated tens of thousands of health care providers, including LUGPA members, urologists, oncologists, and other aligned health care providers.

“As we celebrate our 15th year anniversary, we are excited to extend our collaboration with PlatformQ Health,” said Evan R. Goldfischer, M.D., MBA, FACS, president of LUGPA. “This collaboration allows us to deliver ongoing, up-to-date practice and clinical management urology-oriented digital education to our LUGPA members and other providers to improve patient care and outcomes.”

“PlatformQ Health makes the process of creating and promoting digital education seamless,” said Celeste Kirschner, CAE, MHSA, CEO of LUGPA. “As a small team, we appreciate having a partner who offers end-to-end video streaming and hosting, educational design and content development support, as well as outcomes assessment and program reporting.”

Each year, clinical practice outcomes and insights from these online educational programs that improve patient care have been accepted and presented at prestigious medical conferences, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting, the ASCO Quality Care Symposium, the ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium and the American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting.

Through this alliance, LUGPA members have access to free CME programs in urology and urologic oncology, as well as the LUGPA Crossfire Series, throughout the year.

“As the sole nonprofit urology trade association in the United States, LUGPA brings enormous depth of knowledge in advancing the practice of urology,” said Robert Rosenbloom, PlatformQ Health president and CEO. “It’s rewarding to build on this collaboration to share best practices and clinical experiences with urology specialists around the country.”
