PlatformQ Health helps long-term rare disease partner, the GBS|CIDP Foundation, transform their 2020 Summit into an interactive, engaging, virtual event.

PlatformQ Health is excited to leverage their Conduit Platform, a leading omnichannel event and digital engagement solution, to help the GBS|CIDP Foundation present their very first Virtual Summit next month. The 2020 Virtual Summit takes place on October 3rd from 10am-2pm and will feature 13 sessions and 10 speakers as well as live chat sessions between attendees, faculty and foundation.

Traditionally, this summit is held online, but due to travel and gathering restrictions, an online solution was necessary this year.  The GBS/CIDP Foundation selected PlatformQ Health’s recently launched Conduit Platform to host their patient summit online, allowing them to easily host an engaging, interactive, virtual event that will make it easy for participants to watch insightful presentations, engage with wellness and medical experts and make connections with other attendees. The free virtual summit will feature live programming from What’s New in Research, Treatments and Clinical Trials, Commonly Asked Questions for GBS, CIDP and Variants to Tools for Managing Stress, Youth & Teens with GBS|CIDP and Yoga from Your Chair. Speakers for the program include leading researchers, clinicians, advocacy and foundation heads, academics, and wellness experts. PlatformQ Health is also a proud sponsor of this 2020 Virtual Summit alongside Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, Argenx, CSL Behring, Grifols, Takeda, UCB, and KORU Medical Systems.

PlatformQ has been a pioneer in the field of live, video-based education for more than 10 years. Robert Rosenbloom, CEO of PlatformQ Health shares, “During this time, we have learned that the success of virtual education and online events requires both the underlying technology that provides an engaging, interactive experience for attendees, as well as a team of seasoned program and production experts to support the online event itself. We are excited to support the GBS|CIDP Foundation as a partner and national sponsor, with an interactive solution that will enable this large-scale online event to include live video streaming, live chat, a welcoming user experience, insight tracking, and a flexible environment for on-demand viewing after the event.”

“Our ongoing partnership with PlatformQ Health has helped us create valuable digital education for families affected by GBS and CIDP. We were pleased to learn they could also help us transform our 2020 summit into an online global event. Registration has been at an all-time high with over 1,000 registrants reserving their ‘seat’ so far, significantly more than would normally be able to attend an in-person event. Having an inclusive virtual solution that makes it easy for people to attend the event from the comfort of their own homes, without having to travel has always been important for the rare community, but is critical now.” says Lisa Buter, Executive Director of the GBS|CIDP Foundation.

A Partnership Committed to Supporting Patients and Caregivers with Trustworthy Digital Education

Over the years, PlatformQ Health and the GBS|CIDP Foundation have collaborated to produce virtual patient/caregiver education and accredited HCP activities to  help clinicians and families understand conditions, communicate more effectively, and empower patients and caregivers to become more active participants in their care.

Recently, the pair collaborated to produce, “Learn About Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN) and Take Action: An Education Program for Patients and Families,” a 3-part virtual patient education program that is now available to watch on-demand on NeuroCareLive.com. During this program, patients with MMN and their caregivers learn about the condition, its treatments and what they can do to continue performing their daily tasks.

Other recent online programs include “Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP): Addressing Diagnostic and Treatment Challenges” and “Treatment Options for CIDP: Information for People Living with CIDP and Their Caregivers”. CME collaborations have garnered attention at major medical conferences like the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting.  The e-poster and session with panelists discussing the impact of the education can be found here.

Later this year, the pair will also be continuing their partnership to produce their October 29th patient-caregiver focused activity, “How Can Participating in a Clinical Trial Help Me? A Focus on CIDP and Related Disorders.” This innovative program will help address some of the fundamental educational and operational challenges getting patients to enroll in clinical trials in rare diseases.  Industry sponsors will also be given opportunity present online directly to patients and caregivers their specific trials in CIDP.
